Mark Megella
Clinical Director
Mental Health Accredited Social Worker
Mark is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) with 20 years’ experience. He is an experienced therapist, forensic clinician, SW supervisor, and clinical educator, and is passionate about supporting others and his community around me.
He works with military personnel, their families and other frontline staff, victims of crime, and those involved in the criminal justice system. As an Acceptance and Commitment Therapist (ACT), he applies client-centered and humanistic approaches, collaborating with clients to achieve meaningful change.
He also values the provision of clinical social work supervision, reflective practice, and mental health education. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Work, a Graduate Diploma in Counselling, and a Graduate Certificate in Forensic Behavioural Science.
Mark’s philosophy in life:
I believe we are all rough diamonds. Each of us carries unique brilliance and talents, yet we also hold imperfections. These flaws are part of the human experience—they do not diminish our value, but rather make us unique.
Life challenges us all, though for some, the obstacles are harrowing and the suffering deep. Such experiences can impact our physical, mental, and social well-being, sometimes holding us back from living fully. Yet, like diamonds, we are strong and resilient. With time, support from others, and a foundation of self-acceptance and forgiveness, hope emerges.
Suffering shapes us, imparting both wisdom and scars. We are always evolving—through joy and hardship alike. Our past does not define us, but it teaches us. The journey is to become the best version of ourselves, to live meaningfully, to care for both ourselves and the world around us, and to stand firmly in our values.
